King’s Sports Camps 2017

Welcome to King’s Schools…..where learning doesn’t stop just because school does! Our sports camps are coached by King’s own coaching staff. We offer 13 incredible week-long camps that encourage sportsmanship, coordination, skill building, and self-confidence. Learn more about each offering below! Basketball

King’s Boys Basketball$100

Developing basketball skills while you are young is preparation for success at the high school level. Camper should bring shoes, shorts, a white & black or red shirt, and water bottle. Rick Skeen, Head King’s Boys’ Basketball Coach.

King’s Shooting Stars Girls Hoop Camp $40

Girls will learn the fundamental skills to be competitive in the game of basketball through competitive drills and techniques that they can take with them to continue to develop as an athlete and person. Our faith-based camp will encourage each girl to not only “shine” on the court, but also challenge them to “shine” in their communities. Dan Taylor, Head King’s Girls’ Basketball Coach.

K-2 Co-ed Basketball Camp$60

Girls and boys will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball with a heavy emphasis on dribbling, passing and shooting. Campers will get a chance to learn the game of basketball while having fun playing games and competitions. Camper should bring shoes, shorts, a white & black or red shirt, and water bottle. Cheer Camp

King’s Co-ed Cheer Camp$100

Girls and boys join the King’s High School cheerleaders and let them teach you some moves. Campers will learn basic cheer motions and technique, jumps, chants, cheers, dances, basic stunts, and should bring drink, snack, and tennis shoes. Football Camp

Every Man a Knight Youth Football Camp $100

Boys will develop basic football fundamentals including running, receiving, throwing, blocking and tackling (using soft pads, not football gear required). Fun team games will be incorporated to give athletes the opportunity to test their skill. Jim Shapiro, King’s Head Football Coach.

Golf Camp

Youth Co-Ed Golf Camp (entering grades 2-5)$100

Girls and boys will first learn the techniques of grip, stance and swing, along with the rules and etiquette of course play. Campers should wear casual sportswear or golf attire and tennis shoes or shoes that are close-toed (no sandals or flip-flops). Golf equipment will be provided or players are encouraged to bring their own clubs. Maximum enrollment per camp is 20 players. Soccer Camp

King’s Knights Youth Co-ed Soccer Camp$85

Girls and boys will enhance soccer skills, build coordination, promote sportsmanship, build confidence and encourage teamwork while gaining skill development in passing, receiving, ball control, shooting, attacking and defending. Each day will end with THE BIG GAME. Camper should bring tennis shoes or soccer cleats, a ball and water bottle with name on it. Nicole Gabelein, King’s Soccer Coach.

Tennis Camp

Rising Knights Co-ed Tennis Camp$100

Instruction will focus on ‘fun’damentals – grips, net play, strokes, and match play. Campers should bring appropriate shoes, tennis rackets and water bottle. Coaches: Kalei Detjen, Head King’s Girls Tennis Coach and Assistants on the Tennis Program.

Future Knights Co-ed Tennis Camp$175

Beginners to advance players are welcome. Focus is heavily on the technical, physical, and mental aspects of tennis needed to compete. During the final day of camp, players will compete in a tournament. All players should bring appropriate shoes, tennis rackets and water bottle. Kalei Detjen, Head King’s Girls Tennis Coach.

Volleyball Camp

All Skills Girls Volleyball Camp$75

Girls new to volleyball and those who have several years’ experience will develop fundamentals of serving, passing, setting and hitting. Athletes can expect to improve these skills through the use of competitive team drills. In addition, every athlete will learn offensive and defensive concepts. Jr. High Pre-Season Girls Volleyball Camp$95

Girls will use a variety of drills and game-like situations to develop more advanced skills. Fundamental training and daily competitions will stress serving, passing, setting and hitting. In addition, athletes will learn team defensive concepts and transition offensive systems. Jeff Fransen, Head King’s Volleyball Coach.
