The counselors at King’s High School are committed to helping students reach their fullest potential academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Students and parents with questions, concerns, or simply an interest in getting to know the counseling staff are invited to make an appointment or stop by.

Corrine Nield

Dean of Students

As the Dean of Students, Mrs. Nield provides oversight to the counseling department. She is the scheduling advisor for junior and senior students, coordinates King’s Academic Services and AP Programs, and provides high school academic direction.

Heather Urie

11th and 10th Grade College Counselor

Mrs. Urie is the college resource for junior and seniors students and families. She provides individual and group college counseling, oversees informational meetings, and provides clear direction regarding college processes, resources, scholarships and planning.

Charissa Matthias

9th and 10th Grade Counselor

As the 9th and 10th grade counselor, Mrs. Matthias provides emotional and academic support for students and their families. She oversees 9th and 10th grade schedule changes, coordinates the Link Crew mentorship program and helps direct academic paths.
