Another year of high enrollment brings new faces and a few changes to our campus.

This year, our preschool has added an additional class that is meeting in the former High School instrumental hall. Preschool also has 9 new teachers: Mrs. Eevy Johnson, Mrs. Marcia Isola-Estes, Mr. Daniel Hagen, Miss Barbara Gopen, Mrs. Jill McManigal, Mr. Jarred Hill, Miss Samantha Baek, Mrs. Stephanie DeClercq and Mrs. Parker Godfrey. Welcome to King’s!

Last year’s Spanish Immersion kindergarteners have moved into their new Spanish Immersion first grade classroom and new kindergarteners have taken their place. Welcome to our new Spanish Immersion first grade teacher, Señora Ericka Hernandez.

We now have four classes in 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades, which means new teachers and homeroom classes. Elementary has shuffled classrooms to accommodate higher enrollment. Our Art and Spanish Specialist Teachers have moved into the former Art Annex building adjacent to the Privott House on the upper campus. We also welcome new elementary classroom teachers Mrs. Sarah Cordova (third grade), Mrs. Alisha Elliott & Miss Erica Parks (fourth grade), and Mrs. MaryChar Bertsch & Mrs. Ingrid Farris (fifth grade).

Junior High is starting the first full year in the newly renovated Ella K. Ness Arts and Humanities Building. They are also welcoming their new counselor, Mrs. Claire Folkins!

The High School Learning Commons received another renovation to their space and technology, which will better meet the needs of students and faculty. Stop by and say hi to our new Learning Commons Teacher, Mrs. Kjrsten Parnell. High School also welcomes new teachers in Technology, Mr. Dominic Lewis, Bible, Mr. Ryan Marsh, and English, Mr. Josh Jablon.

With more families driving on campus, King’s has also introduced traffic revisions to better enhance safety and ease flow. New traffic routes are in place for Preschool, Junior High and High School. Elementary remains the same as last year. (See map of traffic flows for all 4 schools.)
