Building Relationships in a Caring Community
King’s Schools is known for its caring community, and it starts in Preschool. Community Events are a wonderful way to build family connections and create a learning environment of excellence. These events and dates are subject to change, and may be approached virtually depending on COVID regulations.
All School Picnic
An opportunity for families to get to know their teachers outside of the school setting and for new families to meet old families. Barbeque will be offered by the school and families will bring a dish to share. We will hold this event at the park at the end of August before starting the new school year.
This will occur during the second week of September. Families will come to see their child’s classroom and sing familiar childhood tunes with their child’s teachers and friends. Teachers, students, and parents will be encouraged to wear their pajamas for the event.
This family breakfast will be held on an October morning before the start of school. Families will come with their children and enjoy a breakfast prepared by parent volunteers.
Families will bring a traditional dish to share for a time of fellowship and fun with staff, students, and parents.
Christmas Holiday Event
At this event, families will gather in the auditorium for an evening of Christmas performances from each of the school’s classrooms, followed by a potluck.
February Winter Concert
Each classroom will perform songs in the auditorium for our school’s families.

Easter Egg Hunt
We will organize an Easter egg hunt for families to enjoy. Kids will have fun hunting for eggs and participating in other Easter-themed activities.
At this event, we will create an art museum by displaying the children’s artwork throughout the school. Families will be welcome to admire the students’ artwork. This event will be held at the end of April.
May Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parents will be given the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one conference with their child’s classroom Lead Teacher.
We will gather with Prekindergarten families in the auditorium to celebrate the accomplishment of our Pre-K students in graduating from King’s Preschool. Each pre-kindergarten class will give a graduation performance for the families.
Year End Picnic
Families will gather for a potluck-style picnic to commemorate the end of the preschool year.
Summer Kids Marathon
This event will be held in July at the King’s Schools track. Families will enjoy participating in track events with their children, followed by popsicles.
