Message from the Acting Head of School

To Our King’s Community,

King’s Schools is eager to welcome our students back to the on-campus learning environment each day as quickly as we can. To that end we have gone to great lengths to optimize existing space, create new classroom space within our unique campus and institute measures that will allow our students and teachers to safely return with appropriate health and social distancing protocols in place.

However, in accordance with recommendations from the state, we have prayerfully made the decision that King’s Schools will initially begin the new schoolyear with a hybrid learning model that combines on-campus learning with remote learning.

Nothing is of greater importance than the safety of our teachers, staff and the students we serve. Providing a healthy environment, both physically and emotionally, is our priority as we deliver an excellent Christian education. We have carefully looked at the capacity for each of our schools, classrooms and learning spaces. Our administrators have worked together and have concluded that staggering on-campus learning for groups of students will provide them with meaningful in-person learning while creating low occupancy and low campus traffic. We believe that these changes, in addition to health and safety measures we have implemented, are a reasonable approach in this season and they are reflective of the framework and intention behind the governor’s most recent guidelines.

When we can move forward with having every student on campus every day, our preventative measures and protocols will remain in place, including the supplemental cleaning and sanitizing of our facilities that have been instituted.

We look forward to welcoming you back as we fulfill our mission of inspiring hearts and equipping minds to serve God for His glory on campus this fall.

Blessings to you and your family,

Jon Yasuda
