I currently teach the first grade Spanish Immersion class at King’s Elementary School. I provide personalized instruction in language acquisition. Independent lessons are customized to improve a specific skill or skills in the language acquisition process. The activities will be designed to increase your child’s understanding of the language and to be prepared for the next school year. I can have a group with up to 6 students working on the same skill or work with your child one-on-one.

After going through a Spanish immersion program myself (grades 1-12), I developed a love for the Spanish language and culture. At King’s, I have taught both Spanish and English, grades 8-12, and currently teach Spanish at the junior high school. In addition, I am currently involved in a Spanish immersion program for the youngest of learners—infants through pre-k. Being a Spanish-speaker has opened many doors for me, allowing me to be involved in mission work abroad, foster friendships with Spanish-speakers here at home, and more. That said, it is one of my greatest joys to be part of others’ journeys to acquire the Spanish language as well, including those of my own two children (ages 1 and 3). I believe in the power of teaching the whole child and of humor and fun in the learning process.
