Summer Camp

At King’s Schools, the fun doesn’t have to end when school ends. Join us this summer for a variety of summer camps for K-8 students. Fun, creativity, and imagination are just around the corner!

King’s Kids Club is open during the summer as a day camp called SummerBreak Day Camp. King’s SummerBreak provides top-quality daily care featuring theme weeks, KIDS Praise, educational activities, and learning trips to the beach, parks, museums, and Seattle Center.

King’s Kids Club is a School-Age Care Facility and employs highly qualified staff who love being with children. Our goal is to continue your child’s educational experience in a safe, warm, fun, and creative environment.

Summer Sports Camps

The camp is dedicated to instructing girls in the fundamentals of basketball and to help them grow in the areas of teamwork, sportsmanship and character. Girls will learn fundamental skills to be competitive in the game of basketball through competitive drills and techniques that they can take with them to continue to develop as an athlete and person. Our faith-based camp will encourage each girl to not only “shine” on the court, but also challenge them to “shine” in their communities.

Lego Jr. non-competition is designed for campers to use collaboration and cooperation to create their own camp experience by selecting self-guided builds. The daily themed builds are designed to learn group dynamics and cooperation. Lego Competition-Season 2 starts with different competitions and continues with new adventures. Campers will use the engineering process. They will have a few timed builds that will have to endure scientific tests that the group designs themselves. Some builds will be meant to be smashed. Then teams that record their findings, with iPads, will earn even more points. Of course, the competition might just be too close to call in our version.

Campers will create a story with their favorite Lego genre. Maybe in the city, country or far away fantasy land. They will use iPads to record their stories and revise them during the week. They will use the writing process to create a story that they will edit and revise as their story grows. A final copy will be sent home digitally.

Of course, each artist will learn how to paint popular scenes step by step on canvas, strengthen their own brush, color, spacial skills and comprehend standard techniques; yet, here is the twist. They will also be using every day up-cycled objects (bubble wrap, lego block, fork, flower, brush etc.) as their painting tools. Don’t be surprised if your artist takes a twist and turn throughout your home looking for unique tools to bring to camp. Each day we will complete a new paint project on canvas. Imagine your artist as they proudly display their own finished canvas art pieces.
