A Legacy of Champions for Christ
King’s High School has a 75-year history of success on the playing field, with 56 state championships in 13 sports. This success extends to the classroom, with a WA State record 11 Scholastic Cup Championships recognizing athletic and academic accomplishments.
By Faith, Mike Martin responded to God’s call to disciple young people and started CRISTA Ministries and King’s Schools (formerly King’s Garden). For 75 years, King’s Athletics has been a ministry used to develop youth into young men and women of Christ. Through dedicated Christian coaches, a committed community, and the power of the Holy Spirit, King’s continues to build its legacy of Champions for Christ.
Through athletics, we disciple our students and provide opportunities for them to exemplify the character of Christ and bring glory to God.
The success of our teams comes with the commitment of our student-athletes, Christ-centered high-level coaches, and supportive community. Being a student-athlete at King’s High School requires a great deal of time and energy to balance the academic load with the time required on the field or court to excel.
We believe that participation in sports closely models life itself and provides an opportunity for kids to grow in their faith, form life-long friendships, and grow into adulthood. Some of the lessons our student athletes are taught through participation in sports include teamwork, commitment, discipline, servant leadership, hard work, sportsmanship, perseverance, and sacrifice.
