King's High School visited our friends at Senior Living

Kings_Seniors.JPG

The King's family extends far beyond our students.

We truly are an intergenerational campus – a place where students can get to know our elderly residents or intern at one of our 7 ministries and learn valuable career skills.

This week, the High School Bible classes made Christmas cards for our Senior Living residents and enjoyed lunch together.

High School Sweetheart Dance
All Day
This dinner and dance event is sponsored by Student Council. Ticket price includes dinner and entertainment and the attire is formal—evening dresses for girls and tuxedos or suits for boys. Location is kept secret until it is announced at a special assembly and advertised on posters at school. Sign-up occurs at school and usually takes place about two weeks prior to the event. At sign-up, students identify their preference for table seating, pay for tickets, arrange for a photo time, and receive final information about the event (date, time, place, driving directions, etc.). Sweetheart is generally considered to be a “boy ask girl” event, but all King’s students are welcome to attend. King’s students may invite non-King’s students if they are approved to attend by the ASB advisor. If attending as a couple, a common practice is for the boys to pay for tickets to the dinner and the dance and for their dates to pay for the professional photos, but students may make whatever arrangements are mutually agreeable.
